User Roles and Permissions

Scafflinq uses role-based access so each team member only sees what they need. Your role controls what you can access in the Web Portal and what you can manage within the company account.

Roles in Scafflinq

Admin

Best for: Owners, directors, office admins

• Full access to company resources

• Can manage users/team members

• Can access billing & invoices

• Can use web + mobile apps

Manager

Best for: Supervisors, project managers, operations managers

• Oversight access (day-to-day management visibility)

• No billing access

• No user management (can’t invite/manage users)

• Can use web + mobile apps (with restrictions)

Inspector

Best for: On-site field staff

• Performs inspections and on-site work

• Mobile app only

• Blocked from web app login

Notes

• Inspectors can’t log in to the Web Portal, so all Web Portal pages are effectively restricted for Inspectors.

• Import may not appear in the sidebar, but Admins/Managers can access it if they have the URL.

Settings Access

These are the sub-pages under Settings:

*Managers may see read-only or hidden sections for Company Info depending on what’s enabled in your account.

Which role should I assign?

• Assign Inspector to anyone doing inspections on-site (mobile-only).

• Assign Manager to supervisors who need visibility but shouldn’t manage billing/users.

• Assign Admin only to trusted people who must manage team members and billing.
